Joining takes a few minutes and directly funds the programs your children love. Every family is welcome.
School starts promptly at 8:20 AM every day; arrival is at 8:10 AM. Regular dismissal is 2:00 PM for TK/K, 2:30 PM for grades 1-3, and 2:50 PM for grades 4-6. Every Wednesday is an early-release day, with dismissal at 12:00 PM for TK/K, 1:00 PM for grades 1-3, and 1:15 PM for grades 4-6.
If your child is sick, call the school attendance line as early as possible at 707-778-4752. Please plan family trips and vacations during school breaks and days off — students can fall behind quickly, and consistent attendance makes a real difference.
Children should stay home with a fever of 100.4 or higher (return after 24 hours fever-free without medication), with vomiting (return after 24 hours symptom-free), with diarrhea (return after 24 hours symptom-free), with an eye infection (return after 24 hours free of drainage), or with a rash (return once the rash or fever is gone and a doctor has been seen).
No sign-up needed. All McNear students receive free breakfast and lunch every school day. A cold breakfast with fruit is served from 7:45 to 8:20 AM in the multipurpose room, and lunch includes a salad bar and fruit. Children may choose school meals day to day or bring lunch from home. Please, no candy, gum, or soda at school.
Joining takes just a few minutes online through Membership Toolkit. Every family is welcome, and membership directly funds the programs and experiences that make McNear special.
