Where it goes
The PTA's giving is not an abstraction. It is the outdoor library students use every day, the environmental literacy lessons that earned McNear a Green Ribbon, and the supplies in every classroom.
$147,029 raised for McNear this year
Every dollar the PTA raises stays at McNear — funding the programs, supplies, and experiences that make our school what it is.
Classroom supplies for teachers and students
Beyond the basics the school provides, the PTA generously supplies teachers and students with the extra classroom materials that keep learning running all year.
2025-2026
A full year of community events
From the Ice Cream Social and Halloween Parade to BINGO Nights and Field Day, the PTA brings new and longtime families together all year long.
2025-2026
Special programs offered to all
Gardening, MASC, the MAKER Program, and Intro to Spanish are offered to every McNear student because the PTA funds them. These programs make it possible for the school to dream big.
2025-2026
Environmental literacy for every student
PTA funding brings a dedicated environmental literacy educator to McNear, with hands-on lessons that helped make McNear California's only elementary Green Ribbon School.
2025-2026
A first-of-its-kind outdoor library
With PTA support, McNear created a one-of-a-kind outdoor library that students use every day. The project keeps growing and evolving.
2025-2026
Two full theater productions
McNear students performed in Matilda and Moana this year with stunning costumes and professional sound — the kind of arts experience PTA support makes possible.

School starts promptly at 8:20 AM every day; arrival is at 8:10 AM. Regular dismissal is 2:00 PM for TK/K, 2:30 PM for grades 1-3, and 2:50 PM for grades 4-6. Every Wednesday is an early-release day, with dismissal at 12:00 PM for TK/K, 1:00 PM for grades 1-3, and 1:15 PM for grades 4-6.
If your child is sick, call the school attendance line as early as possible at 707-778-4752. Please plan family trips and vacations during school breaks and days off — students can fall behind quickly, and consistent attendance makes a real difference.
Children should stay home with a fever of 100.4 or higher (return after 24 hours fever-free without medication), with vomiting (return after 24 hours symptom-free), with diarrhea (return after 24 hours symptom-free), with an eye infection (return after 24 hours free of drainage), or with a rash (return once the rash or fever is gone and a doctor has been seen).
No sign-up needed. All McNear students receive free breakfast and lunch every school day. A cold breakfast with fruit is served from 7:45 to 8:20 AM in the multipurpose room, and lunch includes a salad bar and fruit. Children may choose school meals day to day or bring lunch from home. Please, no candy, gum, or soda at school.
Joining takes just a few minutes online through Membership Toolkit. Every family is welcome, and membership directly funds the programs and experiences that make McNear special.
